Wrap Me
Posted on October 10, 2008 - Filed Under colored stockings, crossings dept store, wraparound dress
I never thought I could wear wrap around dresses. My body is not just built for it, or so I thought. But not until I found this dress at Crossings and it was on sale. It was actually the print that made me decide to consider buying it. Took it off the rack and tried it on. To my surprise I looked good in it, I don’t usually go for spandex or stretchy fabrics coz it clings to the body, and I have flabs here and there. I said to myself, what the heck, I’m 42 so it’s ok to show those bulges. And the yellow stockings? I just find it cute, again I told myself I gotta be wearing one of those ( was inspired by what I saw on the catwalk when I watched a fashion show). It sure turned a lot of heads…I don’t care anymore whatever it is on their minds.
Going A Lil Bit Formal

Oh my goodness! Did I forget about this blog? Sure did! I last posted in April? I can’t believe it. I haven’t been taking photos of myself, haha talking about being narcissistic. Oh my goodness I am not one ^_^. I just want to share with you guys that even in your big 4-0 you can still look fabulous. Err am I saying I look fab? LOL! Anyways, that is one of the dresses I had sewn. It wasn’t in the same color with what I posted here, but still it looked good. I look a bit fat though, but that’s ok. Maybe it’s the sleeves that made me look on the heavier side.
A Size 3?
Posted on April 4, 2008 - Filed Under gap, havaianas, hk shopping, wet seal
I asked my daughter to buy that patch shorts at Wet Seal when she went to the US for a short vacation. And you know what? She got me a size 3. I was a bit disappointed when I saw it, since when was I a size 3, I asked her. Anyways I really love it so I thought of a way so I will be able to use it. There that explains the outfit. I had to wear it over a denim short just so it won’t fall ^_^. I know it looks awkward but who cares!
I know it’s Hot

I bought that tank (export overrun) in Greenhills. I still find it expensive at P250…haha I can be shrewd at times. The tank was just too low, it’s ok if I have something to show, lol, but the thing is it’s flat as a wall. So I wore something under, haha do I look conservative? I kinda like my look here, I was able to conceal my six pack, boo! I mean flabs.

As usual, the top is another 168 shopping find. What do you think? It’s pretty right? Haha, why am I forcing people to like it, duh! But really, I love this top and the color too, a different shade of blue(?) green(?), not the usual. I like the fit and how it was structured. And one more thing, it hid my belly, bleh!

Since the concert was held in a hotel, I thought of dressing up a bit. Not the usual for me actually. I call it more of a formal dressing. It’s nice to look chic once in a while you know. Oh and for a bit of an accent in that black outfit, I brought with me the red biggie bag I bought in Greenhills. It was perfect!
Burst of Colors

When I saw that silky little dress at 168 Mall, I immediately fell in love with it. I love the print and the colors too. It’s not all the time that you see that kind of print here. And since I wore that in one of our wedding coverages, I thought of wearing that leggings which I bought in Marks and Spencers and the “trench” which I bought in Hong Kong. I easily get cold and I can’t stand the strong a/c in hotels. You like my kenneth cole peep toe? It was given by my sisters.
Shall We Dance?

I’ve been looking for a midrib top to be used when I go belly dancing. Good thing the mother of one of my dancing buddies thought of making some for us. I bought a lot, in different vibrant colors. I wanna look good too when dancing you know. With the mirrors around us and all, it pays to look good, harhar. I wish I can find more bottoms like that, it’s worn out now. Or maybe I can have one or two made. Hmmmm time to go shop for the materials needed.

Heehee, my hair looks really funny there. I should brush up more on my photoshop. Anyways, I took extra effort in dressing up that day. Again, my daughter would call that “mommy dressing”. When she’s not used to seeing me in outfits that I usually wear, she immediately refers it to that. To tell you honestly, sometimes it keeps me thinking if I can still get away wearing tank tops. At 41 I should be wearing something like linen tops (more like blouses) and all. So once in a while I go for “mommy dressing”.

Oh my gosh! I can’t believe that I still have that top hiding in my closet. I’m glad I didn’t give it away. It’s one of a kind, of course it should be, it’s the fashion 7 years ago, haha. I look so girlie-gurl there, virginal…haha I’m just kidding.

I love the details on that top. Those are laces sewn on the shirt to give that pretty detail. I actually bought 3 colors, that gray, a pink and a lilac. My daughter loves it too, and would you believe she ransacks my closet when she runs out of something to wear. We are about the same size, well I’m a little bigger though ^_^.

Hehe going to the grocery all made up! It’s because I went to Rustan’s. Who knows I might end up malling too. Wearing a white top really makes one look fresh and clean. I don’t have too many white tops, hhhmmm maybe I should be stocking up on white tops starting today.
